HP Storage X9000 System Administration

Course overview

This 3 day course trains system administrators to configure, manage, and monitor an X9000 File Serving Software Solution (version 5.6). This lecture and lab course teaches students how to successfully configure the components of an X9000 file system, monitor file system activities, and perform basic problem-solving and information-gathering tasks.

 

Course objectives

Upon the successful conclusion of this course, the participant shall be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Build an X9000 File System on File Serving Nodes and export to X9000 Clients and NFS Clients
  • Initiate file creates from X9000 Clients and NFS Clients meeting desired X9000 Allocation Policies
  • Achieve active HA with no single point of failure to client or storage for X9000 Client and NFS
  • Perform file system expansion of a Segment and/or File Serving Node
  • Practice basic problem solving and information gathering procedures
