HP Insight Control update training

Course overview

This 1-day update training provides students with the knowledge of the new features added to the Insight Control software version 6.0 to version 6.3. Discussion of the new features will ensure understanding of components and solutions. Students will configure HP Insight Control tools featuring HP Systems Insight Manager. It will also provide the skills how to use and configure these new features. Labs and or demonstrations engage students in using these features in configuring management and monitoring components for: HP Onboard Administrator, HP Integrated Lights-Out ,HP BladeSystem instrumentation and power management

Course Objectives

    •  Review the Insight Control Software suite and Portfolio.
    • Discuss the overview of new features and changes in Insight Control version 6.0, 6.1,6.2 and 6.3.
    • Discuss the installation of the Insight Control version 6.3, including the Insight Software advisor and Pre Installation Worksheet and multi server configurations. Demo
    • Discuss HPSIM discovery features and best practice.
    • Discuss HPSIM firmware deployment possibilities.
    • Identify and demo of On-Board Administrator features within HPSIM.
    • Discuss and demo of HPsim server migration.
    • Identify Power and Thermal Control within HPSIM
    • Managed system setup wizard
